Do you love the smell of a freshly baked pie? Ever wanted to master the techniques behind a perfectly flaky crust, delicious filling, and beautifully finished top?
In this 4-hour hands-on workshop, we’ll dive into the art of pie making. You’ll learn how to make pie dough by hand and prepare two classic fillings: spiced pumpkin and apple. We’ll also cover essential pastry techniques, from rolling and crimping your crust to blind baking and creating a beautiful lattice top.
Throughout the workshop, you’ll make your own pies from start to finish while learning how to properly handle and chill pastry dough, prepare fillings, blind bake a crust, and finish your pie with an egg wash and decorative lattice. You’ll leave with two delicious 9″ pies to share, or keep all to yourself!
Skills required: none! This workshop is open to beginners, whether you’re new to baking or looking to build your pastry skills.
The price includes all necessary materials, kitchen equipment, ingredients and lots of fun!
Note: Participants will be invited to taste their creations at the end of the workshop, but no full meal will be served during the workshop. Please plan to eat beforehand or bring a snack if needed.
