Do you love a good brunch but wonder how restaurants get those perfectly poached eggs and silky sauces? Want to learn how to make a brunch spread that feels a little more special than your usual Sunday breakfast?
In this 3-hour hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the essentials of making a classic brunch, with Eggs Benedict and homemade scones at the centre of the menu. We’ll explore the origins of Eggs Benedict and the different ways you can put your own spin on this brunch favourite.
You’ll learn how to make hollandaise from scratch, poach eggs, clarify butter and make a brown butter for comparison. We’ll also work through the basics of scone dough, knife skills and plating, bringing everything together for a delicious finished dish.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have the skills to recreate Eggs Benedict and freshly baked scones at home, along with the confidence to experiment with your own Benedict combinations.
The price includes all necessary materials, kitchen equipment, ingredients and lots of fun!
Note: Participants will be invited to enjoy their creations at the end of the workshop, but no additional meal will be served during the workshop. Please bring your own containers to take home anything you don’t finish!
