Express yourself and show off your unique style! Join us in the Youth Hub to design and create your very own custom pin-back buttons. Bring your own printed photos, cut up old magazines from our recycled craft bin, or draw a completely original masterpiece by hand. We provide all the specialized tools.
Pin back buttons have long been considered wearable art, serving as a tool for advocacy, identity, and personal expression. We will teach you how to condense complex ideas into snappy text and eye-catching circular graphics using digital tools like photoshop or traditional art materials. Teens will learn the mechanics of operating a manual button-press machine and leave with a collection of wearable art pieces to showcase their personal style or support a cause.
This program is part of Youth Hub service. Youth Hubs are a welcoming place for teens after school and in the summer, where helpful staff are always available. Free, nutritious snacks are offered daily. Drop by a branch with a Youth Hub or call the branch to find out more.
