Most of us have a "go-to emotion." It is the emotion that shows up automatically when we feel hurt or overwhelmed. That emotion can be anger, anxiety, depression, guilt, shame, or even emotional numbness. In this interactive presentation, we will explore how your go-to emotion developed, what purpose it serves, and offer techniques on how to respond from a more measured space.
Join Ann Schnurr, a Registered Psychotherapist with more than 25 years of experience, as she supports adults to understand their go-to emotion for greater emotional resilience, healthier relationships, and a deeper connection with self.
Registration is encouraged via the library’s website. Drop-ins welcome until capacity is reached. For more information contact the Business Science & Technology desk at 416-395-5613
