Experience one of the greatest musicals ever written in a thrilling concert as a 26-piece orchestra brings Leonard Bernstein’s iconic score to life. Originally conceived to tell the story of Jews and Christians at odds, West Side Story evolved into a reimagining of Romeo and Juliet . This tragic story follows Tony and Maria, two young lovers caught between rival gangs in New York City. Their story unfolds with passion and urgency in a world divided by fear, prejudice, and the search for belonging. Created by Jewish artists Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, Arthur Laurents, and Jerome Robbins, the musical reflects a deep understanding of the immigrant experience and what it means to be an outsider. In this concert staging, the music takes centre stage—powerful, timeless, and more resonant than ever.
