In the exhibition “Tentacles and Branches: Mystical Intersections of the Wild and Wired,” artist Mimmo Baronello explores the relationship between nature and the digital age.
Through a series of richly detailed, baroque paintings, the exhibition considers how these two worlds can overlap, creating a relationship that is at once productive, uneasy, and constantly evolving.
The paintings blur distinctions between organic growth and technological presence. Natural forms appear to mechanically evolve, creating hybrids that move between observation and imagination, and encouraging viewers to reflect on the growing influence of technology in our lives and the not-so-subtle ways it is reshaping our perception of the world around us.

Underlying the exhibition is the conviction that nature remains the more powerful and enduring presence. Rather than imagining a future in which nature is controlled by technology, the work proposes a different possibility: one in which technology learns to coexist with nature, respecting its rhythms, complexity, and resilience.
