Mixed Media: Make Your Own Book with Catherine Moeller
In this fun and accessible workshop, kids will explore the art of mixed media while creating their own small, handmade books. Using a variety of media and techniques including drawing, painting, collage, photgraphic portraits, printmaking, stencilling and found word poetry, participants will design unique pages by experimenting with composition and layering.
Each book can follow a personal theme or be spontaneous. At the end of the workshop, pages will be bound together with yarn or string to create a finished book. The session will conclude with a creative sharing circle, where participants can present their artwork and read their poems or stories.
