Ever wanted to make your own perfectly fitted leggings? Curious about how a pair of leggings goes from a pattern to something you can actually wear?
In this 4-hour hands-on workshop, you’ll work from an existing pattern to create your own pair of leggings. You’ll learn how to take your measurements, choose the right pattern size, make simple fit adjustments, and understand the order of operations involved in sewing a garment from start to finish.
We’ll guide you through transferring and adjusting your pattern, cutting your fabric, setting up a sewing machine or serger, and assembling your leggings. You’ll learn essential techniques including sewing stretch fabrics, constructing the legs and waistband, attaching elastic, sewing the crotch and yoke, and finishing the hems.
Not everyone will finish their leggings during the workshop, but every step will be demonstrated and you’ll leave with the knowledge and skills to complete your project at home.
The price includes all necessary materials, sewing equipment and lots of fun!
Note: Participants will work from pre-existing patterns. Please bring your measurements if you have them, and be prepared to make simple adjustments to achieve a better fit.
