About this event
LearningThis program is part of the York Woods Library’s Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) service
Through a lecture and open Q&A supported by practical checklists, this workshop explains how to register a business in Ontario and helps participants choose between operating as a sole proprietor and incorporating. It covers licenses and permits, CRA basics such as HST and the business number, and insurance. It closes with the regulatory pitfalls new owners most often fall into and how to avoid them.
