Global events - from pandemics, war, and foodborne illnesses - have threatened farmers' livelihoods, created supermarket shortages, and revealed to consumers that our food system is broken. In the face of these threats to our well-being and food security, what can we do as a community to strengthen our local food system?
Meet Nancy Matsumoto , author of Reaping What She Sows : How Women Are Rebuilding Our Broken Food System , who will introduce her book and highlight Toronto women changemakers building up local and regional supply chains to combat the destructive effects of Big Food.
Paul DeCampo , representative of Karma Co-op Grocery Store will moderate the discussion, which will include the following guest panelists:
Jenn Pfenning from Pfennings Organic Farm
Nurith Jungreis from Sunflower Kitchen
