Join us for the Queer & Trans Legacy Initiative’s inaugural event, featuring the FIRST LIVE SCREENPLAY READING of THEY with professional actors. We want you there!
The Queer & Trans Legacy Initiative launches with this event, which is about elevating queer and trans voices, dismantling barriers, and creating space for 2SLGBTQ+ creators. This is more than a reading; it is the beginning of something new, and a way to invite others to hear and see our work. Join us!

The Screenplay: THEY, a queer coming-of-age story on the street. After 15-year-old, Jadan, is thrown out of their home for being queer, they fall in love with Lila, and form a family with friend, Crystal Queer. They manage to survive the violence and threats while dealing with the daily grind of life on the streets. But one night, Crystal is attacked and Lila is abducted. Unable to forgive themself for not finding Lila, Jadan breaks, and is forced to confront their past, and their mother. THEY is a story of resilience, of chosen family, and love.
Annual screenplay readings and national monologue calls are in development. Visit our website to learn more. Thank you.
