This program is part of the Toronto Reference Library's Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) service.
"Everyone I talked to said they loved it" is the most expensive sentence in business. This session teaches you how to test an idea properly by identifying fatal assumptions, designing theoretical prototypes, and engaging customers in conversations that produce honest answers. We'll cover pre-sales, waitlists, and other ways to get evidence before you build anything. You'll practice the technique in front of other participants and leave with a better idea of your next steps.
Registration required, limited room capacity.
To apply for one-on-one consultations with our resident entrepreneur, Ryan, please fill out the in-take form available at tpl.ca/eir . We begin accepting in-take forms on September 28, 2026 until available slots are filled.
