The Toronto International Festival of Authors presents human rights lawyer and acclaimed author Philippe Sands who guest curates a rupture/justice stream at the festival — gathering historians, journalists, artists and authors to examine our era's fault lines. It culminates in East West Street: A Song of Good and Evil — a one-night performance blending the voice of opera star Laurent Naouri, music by Bach, Rachmaninoff and Leonard Cohen and narration by Sands and French soprano Natalie Dessay.
