Ever wondered how those intricate crochet doilies are made? Ready to move beyond the basics and learn how to create delicate patterns with a crochet hook?
In this 3-hour hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to crochet a series of doilies while building your confidence with more detailed patterns and finer yarn. We’ll start with a simple granny square before moving on to crocheting in the round and working with laceweight yarn.
You’ll learn how to follow both written and charted patterns, work with a magic circle, and use essential stitches including chain, single, half-double, double and treble crochet. We’ll also explore lace stitches, decorative edges and techniques for weaving in and finishing your work.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have created at least two small crochet doilies and developed the skills to continue exploring more intricate lace patterns on your own.
Skills required: Confident beginner. This workshop is designed for crocheters who already know the basics and are ready to develop their skills with more intricate patterns and finer yarn.
The price includes all necessary materials, crochet equipment and lots of fun!
Note: You’ll work with both medium-weight and laceweight yarn during the workshop. The finished doilies will be approximately 2″–6″ in diameter.
