2026 Grammy Award nominated vocalist, pianist, songwriter, and national radio host Laila Biali’s latest tribute project showcases dynamic covers of our country's musical icons. Expect fresh takes on a range of Canadian artists from across the decades including Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, k.d. lang, Bruce Cockburn, Sarah McLachlan, and more, all centred around the heart of this show – prairie royalty, Joni Mitchell.
Koerner Hall favourite Elizabeth Bougerol, vocalist of The Hot Sardines, delivers a set of classic songs from Tin Pan Alley. With a voice that effortlessly communicates nuance, power, and humour, Elizabeth has made a name for herself as an artist with a passion for connecting deeply with the music and her audience. Drawing inspiration from icons as diverse as Louis Armstrong, Peggy Lee, Ray Charles, and Bessie Smith, her performances are marked by a deep respect for the genre’s roots while infusing them with her own distinct voice and arrangements.
After the concert, enjoy a beverage and more music at the Postlude Performance featuring a local emerging artist in the Leslie & Anna Dan Galleria.
