Have you ever wanted to learn how to play the piano?
If you are 18 years or older, no age limit, join us for four adult learning circles led by a professional pianist. You will learn the basic piano including note recognition, finger placing, and simple songs. There will be opportunities for one-on-one instruction for each participant on a baby grand piano.
For absolute beginners only. One-time registration for all four sessions starts on Monday, October 5, 2026 at 10am on tpl.ca. Since each session builds on the last and space is limited, we ask that you only register if you can attend all four weeks.
Please do not register if you have previously participated at the piano circles at the Toronto Public Library.
For: Adults (18+). Programme type: Culture, Arts & Entertainment. Location in branch: Auditorium, 2nd floor. Registration is required. Limited to 5 participants. Registration opens October 5, 2026 at 10:00 am and closes October 5, 2026 at 10:30 am. Registration is currently full; a waitlist is available. Contact: Languages, Literature and Fine Arts Department, 416-395-5639.
