How does a machine actually "think"? Explore the history and latest developments of machine learning.
In this class led by our Innovator-in-Residence, Ryan Kelln, we'll dig into what's really going on inside AI systems: how they decide what matters in your question, where their training data comes from (and who's missing from it), and how hidden instructions can sneak into content and hijack an AI. Develop an intuitive understanding of how AIs "think" without the math. We'll talk about how AIs remember, how they don't and how they are both similar and different to humans. And we'll ask the question underneath it all: is there anyone home inside the machine?
