This program is part of the York Woods Library’s Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) service.
This interactive workshop helps participants turn a passion or skill into a viable business idea. Through an idea-mapping exercise, they learn to test their concept before spending a dollar, and to get to know their customer through simple, low-cost market research in their own community. The session also shares stories of local Black-owned businesses that started small, showing that a modest beginning can lead somewhere lasting.
