Fine Food Market is the folk dream-pop project of Montreal-based multidisciplinary artist Sophie Perras. Drawing from her classical piano training and inspired by her beloved PSR3000 keyboard, her music blends country-folk with experimental indie, creating a world of sunny fields, old cars, and brightly painted houses.
Eclectic, whimsical, and deeply sincere, Fine Food Market’s songs also carry a sense of sadness, especially in her French lyrics. As a bilingual artist, Perras explores intimate thoughts and personal experiences in a voice that feels like speaking to a close friend, occasionally using satire to make sense of difficult moments in her life.
