new porcelain sculpture October 9 - November 7, 2026 Opening Reception Friday October 9, 7-10pm
Amy Bowles
Paul Petro Contemporary Art is pleased to present an exhibition of new porcelain sculptures by Hamilton-based artist Amy Bowles.
" Eventually We Bend examines bending as an existential posture: not as surrender or collapse, but as an adaptive philosophy of resilience in an unpredictable world.
Working primarily in porcelain - a material that embodies fragility, flexibility, and strength - these new sculptures draw on naturalistic forms that grasp, stretch, and weather over time, becoming playful expressions of conscious adaptation. Through their tension between vulnerability and resilience, the works consider how yielding to the pressures of time can become a form of strength.”
