A learning circle is a study group, guided by library staff, for people who want to take a free online course together in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Organizations all over the world recognize the value of analytics. Together, we'll learn about the essential tools used in this field.
In this 12-week learning circle, we will work through the Data Analytics Essentials course from Cisco Networking Academy. We will explore the fundamental tools of a data analyst, including how to:
transform, organize and visualize data with spreadsheet tools like Excel query data from a relational database using SQL improve data presentations using business intelligence tools like Tableau
We will meet weekly, in-person, every Tuesday afternoon, September 15 - December 8, 2-3:30 PM (12 sessions).
Participants are expected to commit to the duration of the course and attend sessions on a weekly basis.
Learners who complete the course will be able to:

Welcome to the Data Analytics Learning Circle! We will be working through Cisco Networking Academy's Data Analytics Essentials course together. You will receive an email from networkingacademy.ca approximately one week before the start of our learning circle with instructions on how to create an account with Cisco Networking Academy and how to enroll in the course.
