Chanpan blends sleek, playful, and improvisational music, drawing on influences like PinkPantheress and NewJeans with a jazzier, freer American sensibility.
Formed in New York’s Chinatown by Grace Dumdaw and Lance and Matthew Tran after a chance busking session, the project grew out of a shift away from political work toward more immediate creative expression. For Chanpan, music isn’t a means to an end, but an open, evolving practice.
