Brahms’s Second

Salma Khakimov, winner of the 2025/26 TSYO Concerto Competition, takes the spotlight with the first movement of Khachaturian's electrifying Violin Concerto—fiery and full of edge. Kelly-Marie Murphy's Dark Nights, Bright Stars, Vast Universe opens the program with striking orchestral colour and energy, and Brahms's Second Symphony closes with warmth, melody, and a sense of ease that draws listeners in.
