This show has been in the works for many years and finally it’s coming to fruition! On Friday November 20th, the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave) is so excited to finally welcome to our stage for the very first time on of the very best cover bands out there, Big Furry Tractor! Big Furry Tractor has quite a reputation for their incredible live show and their really fun and upbeat set-list! We have heard so many great things about this band and we are finally able to bring them in for a night! Tickets for this show are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. You don’t want to miss this one!
Four rugged men. Four survivors. Four musical veterans who have weathered the storms of disco, power ballads, questionable haircuts, spandex, and shoulder pads.
They’ve lived through the rise and fall of hair metal, the birth of New Wave, and an era when synthesizers were bigger than refrigerators and men wore more eyeliner than their girlfriends.
Now, armed with decades of musical experience, slightly compromised hearing, and a collection of mysterious aches and pains, these four gentlemen have joined forces to resurrect the glorious sounds of the 1980s.
From the slick sophistication of Duran Duran to the dark electronic pulse of Depeche Mode, the beautifully miserable melodies of The Cure, and everything in between, they deliver the hits of a decade when music was dramatic, fashion was deeply irresponsible, and nobody thought twice about dancing like a malfunctioning robot.
They may have traded their hairspray for reading glasses and their leather pants for something with a forgiving waistband, but make no mistake, these guys can still bring it.
