Artist Talk: Nanibah "Nani" Chacon with Allison Glenn

Thursday, November 5th, 2026
Gallery TPW
2PM-3:30PM

Nanibah “Nani” Chacon’s new commission, What happens when they steal our babies… (2026), is a large-scale nail and string drawing and painted mural centring the Diné creation story of Tééhoołtsódii, or the Big Water Monster, who creates a devastating flood in response to her children being taken from her.

Join Nani and TBA Curator Allison Glenn for a dialogue about Chacon’s practice and her incorporation of Tééhoołtsódii during this moment of intense social, political, and climate catastrophe.

This program is free, but registration is required in order to attend.
