Welcome back to Art Hive at MOCA, a free art-making programme that invites you to create on select Thursday evenings!
Each Art Hive session is unique, featuring creative invitations written by graduate students from the Toronto Art Therapy Institute. You’ll be invited to respond to a prompt that encourages you to consider MOCA’s current exhibitions while connecting with your community.
Join us in exploring Bharti Kher’s exhibition, Bones , on Floor 1. Create your own artwork, surrounded by Kher’s Matter paintings. Densely covered with bindis, that sweep and swirl into formations evoking both microscopic life and vast celestial visions. Kher’s work reflects balance, transformation, and perception, and we invite you to think about these themes as you express yourself in the space—all skill levels welcome. Use the provided materials to create something new, or bring in a work in progress!
Art Hives are pay what you wish. Your donation supports MOCA’s programming, including Art Hives, and is non-refundable.
These workshops are held when MOCA is otherwise closed. During this time, only Floor 1 will be open. Seating is limited and first-come, first-served. RSVPs are appreciated.
