AI can help with schoolwork. So why does it feel like walking a tightrope? How do you use it for learning without fooling yourself?
In this youth-focused class, you'll learn to use AI with our Innovator-in-Residence, Ryan Kelln, as a tutor, quiz partner, and explainer, not an answer machine. You'll practice the tutor loop using provided examples: starting with what your interests are, what you want to learn, how you like to learn, and what you already understand. We'll also cover academic policies around AI and when AI is the wrong tool entirely.
Prerequisites: Mouse, keyboarding and internet skills. Computers are provided. No coding experience required.
Registration is required and will start September 9, 2026 at 9:00 AM.
Note: Your spot will not be guaranteed after 5 minutes of the start of the program. After this time, remaining seats will be filled on a first come, first serve basis until capacity is reached. If you wish to save your work from this hands-on program, please bring your own USB stick.
