In this eight week class you learn how to carve wax for the lost wax casting process as well as a direct casting technique into cuttlebone. You will learn a variety of carving and finishing techniques. You have the chance to cast your own pieces using a centrifugal casting machine as well as pouring metal directly into your cuttlebone. You will make 3 projects in this class: a ring, a textured piece and a final project of your choice based on the skills you learn. No experience necessary. There is an additional charge for the casting metal of choice. Bronze and sterling silver are the standard options. Gold is possible for the third project.

Published base fee: CAD $485 for the entire course, not per session. Taxes and additional materials are separate where stated by the publisher. Event-specific fees take precedence over general curriculum prices.
